Whiskey Girl is a Washington, DC-based poet/performance artist, event curator, host, mental health advocate, creative brand consultant and single mother of two daughters. She lends her unique voice and perspective to her member-based Patreon Community, sharing her true passions addressing the effects of pop culture and white supremacy and patriarchy on black mental wellness and uses the platform to serve as a mouthpiece to address the mental health plight of black women. Healing is not pretty–and by embracing the ugly darkness of hard truth in writing and performance, Whiskey strives to be a light to remind others that the only way to overcome pain is not around but through. Whiskey is the author of 4 self-published chapbooks: Trigger, Medicate., Mercury In Retrograde…But the Rent Is Still Due: A Collection of Black Girl
