Michelle Rosenthal was born in Connecticut but has lived in New York, California, and now resides in Texas. She is 20 years old and a junior in college pursuing a degree in Social Work. Her experiences having acted as a peer counselor and mediator in high school, a school leader, the President of her local youth group, among other opportunities... inspired her to write this book when she was only 16. Michelle faced a lot of adversity and criticism from her peers. Problems ranged from medical problems, to anti-Semitism, bullying, and isolation from always being the new kid. Her experiences and ability to overcome these challenges with optimism, strength, grace, and kindness were one of the other reasons she decided to publish this novel.
