    About the Book

    Edit

Growing Pains explores the pains of navigating through life as a young, black woman. Using personal experiences, Joy takes the audience on a journey through the lessons she has learned by way of fires, death, love, floods, and other unfortunate things. She creates a world of connection with readers using raw and impactful, storytelling. Growing Pains is a book of woven stories that say we have survived our darkest moments thus far, and we can survive anything else that may come our way.
