THE HOMELESS CRISIS IS THE WORST HUMAN TRAGEDY IN OUR COUNTRY.
In Los Angeles along HUD estimated a 16 percent increase in our homeless people population, and the life expectancy has fallen below 49 years. But these statistics do not tell the entire story. Veteran Professional Photographer decided to document and photograph this tragedy by visiting most communities in Southern California and more engaging the trust of those afflicted with the never-ending saga of homelessness. To understand and try to help those without a home you must meet them on the street and gain their trust. Now in his 3rd year of gathering photos and stories of from people lost and looking for a second chance, first responders that tend to criminalize, dehumanize and marginalize what dignity that remains. The result is most preferring the streets to a shelter and remain desperate for a HOME. Plus none have a Living Wage. We as a nation have a very long way to go.
