About the Book
The book is bilingual (French and English) and is illustrated with over 230 colour photos taken by the author using a high-quality SLR camera on Kodachrome film, which were subsequently scanned at high resolution and digitally optimized using state-of-the-art software. The texts, which occupy roughly half of the book, provide a detailed chronological account of what we saw and did, some historical facts as well as our own impressions of Egypt and its people.

About the Creator
I am an avid world traveler with a deep appreciation for nature and adventure. My journeys—both for work and leisure—have taken me across much of the globe, with extensive exploration in Europe, Africa, the Americas, India, and China. From 1995 until my retirement in June 2008, I managed International Development projects for the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA), focusing primarily on Latin America and Africa. Prior to that, my career as a geologist led me to mineral exploration projects throughout Canada, including the Northwest Territories, Nunavut, Quebec, and Saskatchewan. In my free time, I pursue my passions for travel, photography, and genealogy, delving into both new landscapes and my family history. Since retiring, I’ve been able to dedicate time to compiling a significant portion of the thousands of photographs I’ve captured since purchasing my first camera in 1969—turning them into visually rich, illustrated storybooks.
