    About the Book

    Edit

'A Year of Nearing' is a living meditation – a season-by-season invitation into the eleven “tips on destressing one’s life” that the late, back-to-the-land pioneer Helen Nearing left the world at the end of her memoir, 'Loving and Leaving the Good Life'. As we follow the Wheel of the Year as it turns from its energetic beginnings – the “cultivating” time of early Spring – we inquire into what it means to be a pilgrim parceling out a portion of self from the untethered terrain of belonging to becoming.

    And so it begins.

A portion of proceeds from this book will go towards The Village Yoga Initiative - supporting local, national, and international charities, social justice programs, and the promotion of making the benefits of yoga accessible to all.
