When Noelle’s parents are killed in a car accident, the thirteen-year-old girl’s life spirals downhill. Sent to live with her older sister Veronica and her husband Darren, Noelle grows antagonistic, unable to cope with her the sudden heartache. A year later and her problems only continue as her grades have dropped and her friends have stopped calling. After placing flowers on her parents’ grave late one evening with Veronica and Darren, Noelle is accosted by a creepy gravedigger who insists that Noelle leave the cemetery, for it is nearly dark. Unfortunately, her sister and brother-in-law are lured into a mausoleum by an unseen menace. When the sun sets, the dead crawl and lurch from their graves. With the help of a few friendly (albeit dead) Cemetery Folk, Noelle learns that to save her family, she must venture deep into the cemetery and find three keys guarded by traps and the undead while unraveling a sinister plot orchestrated by a scheming ghoul who has been keeping his eye on Noelle for a long, long time.
