    About the Book

    Edit

In June of 2015, a juvenile flamingo arrived on Rendezvous Bay Pond in Anguilla in the British West Indies, breaking a 14 year absence of the species on the island. The lone bird remained on Anguilla until March of 2016, moving between Rendezvous, West End and Road Bay Ponds.

Although Miya Yoshida was never lucky enough to see the actual bird during her 2015 visit, she weaves an intriguing tale of its journey to the island and the ultimate decision to make Anguilla home.

Part of the proceeds of this book will go to support the "Bring Back the Buttonwood Campaign" sponsored by Nature Explorers Anguilla.
