    About the Book

    Edit

The poems in this collection were drawn directly from Friesen's experience in parish life. Like country folks anywhere, the people he was committed to serve seemed to encounter the entire continuum of human experience in their daily lives--including stress, suffering, and pain (and death)--countered by love, forgiveness, and hope. He has included an element of the latter in his renditions. One does not have to belong to a country parish to be able to identify with the universality of human experience. Readers will certainly agree that this collection has attained that goal.
