    About the Book

    Edit

In 2016, the authors drove the loop road around Iceland, taking some of the less traveled side roads as well, exploring as many of the country's remarkable features as time and energy would allow, making photographs, and keeping a journal that provides the text of this first-timer's guide to a spellbinding and otherworldly place. The subjects of the 129 photographs illustrating the journal include landscapes and cityscapes, waterfalls, glaciers, architecture, puffins, Icelandic horses, and the ubiquitous sheep. The authors' observations should be helpful to first-time visitors.
