    About the Book

    Edit

ROOTS and WINGS! Being in the first full generation post-slavery and raising a large family of 15 children in a small town in eastern North Carolina, Prince Albert & Mariah Baugham set a solid foundation (roots) anchored in marriage, family, the home, the church, hard work, and education. In this history of the Baugham Family, follow along as Prince Albert & Mariah, their children, their dreams and ambitions come alive in descriptive detail through biographies, memories, poems and other writings based in historical fact and stories passed down through several generations. The pictures are pretty cool too! Their remarkable journey compels their descendants to acknowledge their roots, reflect on their values, and inspire current and future generations (wings) to greatness.
