The book is a celebration of some of the wild plants that the author has seen and photographed in the area around England's 4th largest city. It is aimed at both the serious botanist and the interested lay-person, and is written in non-technical language. A colour photo takes up half of each page, and the range of plants selected includes both common and rare species.
