    About the Book

    Edit

After completing one year of prerequisite film production courses that were adapted for her disability, Annette Dawm was enrolled in a prestigious filmmaking program at the post-secondary level. However, this program was not willing to adapt like the previous one, so Annette left and took on a less creative program instead: Office Administration. She knew she could still make a film in 2014, while gaining practical knowledge and skills and she did, One Day at a Time. This book is the companion to her film and shows Dawm's daily activities for one year. It captures the experiences of a young adult (with a disability), seen through various camera lenses and a different perspective than most people.

Hello! Well, it's been awhile since I've updated this, so I hope this is more current for you. My name is Annette and I don't know where I'd be without Blurb. They've helped me become an award winning author for my book "Carl Goes to College", I've also made 2 other books with Blurb starring my (imaginary) friend Schwartz Abdul. They are Volumes I and II of "Schwartz Abdul's Big Book of Celebrities". Schwartz and I have met some of the biggest bands in Canada and a few notable American acts such as Jason Mraz and Hunter Hayes. I showed Matt Webb of Marianas Trench one of my books and he said it was "F***ing amazing!" and I showed "Carl Goes to College" to DC COMICS and "Essex County" author Jeff Lemire, "awesome" and that I was "doing everything right". The two Schwartz books have now become my own personal autograph books and they are always super fun to share, which is why you can view them for free on here. But money is always nice. Thanks for all of your support!
