About the Book
This is a pictorial record of the pigeon houses within about 20 miles of St. Andrews in Scotland in the year 2008. These date from 16th to 20th century and form an important feature of the social history of the area, as the blue rock doves they housed were culled for food and their droppings were used as fertiliser. The buildings are a beautiful part of the rural landscape.

About the Creator
I have always been interested in Photography. I was a lecturer in chemistry in St Andrews University, and now after retirement, taking and editing photos has become one of my main activities. It gives me great pleasure to create beautiful photos and hope you enjoy looking at them. My wife, Joan also takes photos and some of these are included in the books. She does most of the writing.
