    About the Book

    Edit

After my father died, late in 2001, my mother wrote a book about their lives together. To me, that book symbolized her wonderful courage and spirit. Excerpts from her book, "Chimps in the Kitchen, Lions in the Cellar," are included in the pages of this volume.

There are also many of the E-Devotions I wrote for The Church @ The Springs, Ocala, FL. (E-Devotions are inspirational writings by a small group of Church @ The Springs members, showing how we live our daily, ordinary human lives through Faith. A list of scriptures quoted is included at the end.

Pieces from my daughter and her three beautiful and very creative children are here, too , as well as three of my husband's seminary essays.

My son-in-law provided most of the photos of the children. There are also shots of the Maine coast, where I spent most of my life. Family and friends have contributed pictures.

These are stories of a family. Maybe you were there for some of them.
