    About the Book

    Edit

These poems appeared in my monthly magazine ARTLOOK mostly in the years 1994 and 1995 when the magazine was in hardcopy. Since the year 2000 the magazine has been published free on the Internet at http://219.88.101.105/i.html

The magazine has been in recess since a 7.1 earthquake on the 4th September 2010 and a disastrous 6.3 aftershock on the 22nd February 2011 wrecked my studio, and caused immense damage to the city of Christchurch, New Zealand wiping out a third of the central business district.

The poems are not intended to be high art, but some poked fun at political figures on the local scene at the time, and others generally offered a wry take on modern society. These poems are published for a wider readership at the request of many of my students whom got a laugh out of them.
