About the Book
Ernst Haas - the great master of colour photography since the 50's - seems to have said of his beloved New York back then that it is was a beautiful city on the verge of crumbling. I think this applies to Rome still today. The reason I want to show a gentler side of this chaotic and unnerving city is that I hope to elicit love for it. And the more people will love it, the less the chances that it will crumble.

About the Creator
Renzo Rizzo
Roma, Italia
Photography is my way to see better, also those things that we normally don't notice. There are two ideas that inspire my approach. The first is to "find beauty in the most unimportant things" (Saul Leiter) and the second is "giving dignity to things beyond the hasty judgement of those who never really look at anything" (Luigi Ghirri). I exhibited my photographs in several shows in Rome and at Trieste Photo Days and I followed courses on reportage, portraits and urban landscape. A lot of my photos are shot in Rome, which is also the subject of my two self published books.
