    About the Book

    Edit

This is the memoir of Melvin Richey who was born on a Mississippi cotton plantation in 1944. Melvin left the cotton fields to start a new life in Santa Barbara, California in the early 1960s where she raised five children and contributed greatly to her extended family, her community and to her church. She has written her memoir with the help of her friend, Carrie Hawn, in order to inspire her family and to encourage her readers to look for the windows of opportunity that God will open for anyone who seeks Him.
