The Chorus: A Collective Voice of Survival: Staff, Clefs, Ledger Lines, Steps, and Accidentals We are the love child of a narcissistic mother and an emotionally immature father, who is the step-son of a pedophile. We daydreamed, retreating into a world of imagination whenever life became overwhelming. We learned to dissociate, to drift away from the hurt. It was like pressing a pause button on our emotions, creating a safe space in our minds where the chaos couldn’t reach us.
