About the Creator
In 1990 I bought a one-way ticket from Los Angeles, California to Bangkok, Thailand, determined to make a living as a photographer-writer along the Thai-Cambodian border I spent time in the refugee camps and when the repatriation began to return to Cambodia, I went with convoys and by train, while the country was still at war. Nearly two million men, women and children died during the Khmer Rouge rein from 1975-79. During the long train trip to Phnom Penh there was silence and the uncertainty. Over time they adjust with the horror of the past. I was there in 1993 for the National Elections that ended in a stalemate that saw the formation of two Prime Ministers. I have worked with Habitat for Humanity in Disaster Response locations in China, Sri Lanka, Nepal, India and Pakistan. I am currently going through all my years of work to work on putting together books of my work.
