    About the Book

    Edit

In 1998 I covered the fall of the Khmer Rouge along the Thai-Cambodia border. I witnessed the cremation of the Khmer Rouge leader, Pol Pot. A few days later over 15,000 Khmer Rouge and family left their base and headed to the Thailand border. I spent a month documenting this and created a book on this period through first hand accounts and photographs, through interviews with soldiers and family members.

Nearly two million men, women and children died during the Khmer Rouge rein from 1975-79. During the long train trip to Phnom Penh there was silence and the uncertainty. Over time they adjust with the horror of the past. I was there in 1993 for the National Elections that ended in a stalemate that saw the formation of two Prime Ministers. I have worked with Habitat for Humanity in Disaster Response locations in China, Sri Lanka, Nepal, India and Pakistan. I am currently going through all my years of work to work on putting together books of my work.
