About the Book
In 1995, I embarked on a journey to explore and photograph the ruins of the ancient Mayan peoples on the Yucatán Peninsula. Archaeological sites include Chichén Itzá, Uxmal, Labná, Kabáh and Sayil. The images in this book were made using Black and White infrared film, revealing an ethereal, almost dream-like landscape.

About the Creator

I am an American photographer and digital artist known for my portrait, urban and travel photography. Born and raised in New Orleans, I was strongly influenced by its beguiling, anachronistic and dreamlike character. Shooting in both film and digital formats, my subjects include ruins, cemeteries, abandoned spaces, and overlooked objects. My images reveal my fascination with unique textures, shadows, and Catholic iconography. My work explores the ephemeral nature of dreams and the mysteries underlying our reality. In this age of endless distractions, I want my photography to reawaken the viewer’s sense of wonderment for the world around them.
