    About the Book

    Edit

Annapurna - Challenging Lives is a gorgeous real-life photo story of the rarely seen challenging daily lives of the farming and herding communities in the Annapurna Hills in Nepal.

With over 125 ‘Real . Life . Photos’ by Ju Shen Lee, the book goes beyond the readily seen stunning scenery there. These unique photos of the rarely seen are a visual feast for eyes, hearts and minds.

See the mystical high mountain peaks and the mysterious deep river gorges. Hear the musical bells of the grazing animals and the laughter of the boisterous children. Taste the rich fresh buffalo milk and the sweet-tart local oranges. Smell the earthy alpine forests and the aromatic spicy local cuisine. Above all, feel the strength and stamina of these remarkable people as they strive to survive, despite the constraints and challenges of climate and geography.
