    About the Book

    Edit

As a photographer, Tony Kay has a passion for the unique beauty of ice due to its multiple textures, forms, colors and transparency. The climate of the Champlain Islands in Vermont sculpts incredible abstract compositions from this amazing but ephemeral material. Tony captures some of the infinite variations created by combinations of changing temperature, wind, physical obstructions and lighting.

    Tony Kay
    South Hero, Vermont

Tony Kay is a fine art photographer whose work is exhibited and collected in the United States and internationally. After winning many awards for his abstract, photo based computer manipulations (called PhotoFusion), he moved with his wife to Vermont from California in 2021 to experience something new. He settled on the Champlain Islands and has been thrilled to see a huge variety of photogenic subjects from ice, to snow, to wetlands, to forests through the seasons, and much more. His signature abstract vision captures modern compositions created by nature's processes. He is currently working on a series of books focused primarily on the Champlain Islands. The first two of these, featuring the ice of the Champlain Islands, are currently available on Blurb. Look for more titles in the coming months.
