About the Creator
Adena M’lynn Harmon has been writing since childhood, winning her first contest at age six with a poem about a tree, followed by one about her friend Susie, who was born blind. She appeared on The Mr. Peppermint Show and, as a teenager, wrote for the Mesquite Daily News in Mesquite, Texas. By college, her focus expanded to dance, psychology, and music, disciplines that continue to influence her voice. Adena’s journey has included time in prison, psychiatric hospitals, and broken relationships—chapters that tested her deeply but also shaped her resilience. Through every season, her love for Christ has been her stronghold, sustaining her through hardship and giving her words the ring of both honesty and hope. She writes in poetry and prose, drawing from her own story to reveal light in even the darkest places. She believes words have power: to heal, to shape, and to unite us, reminding us that we are never alone in our struggles or our grace.
