Marie Hoops. A legend; A riot; A firecracker. She was who she was and she never apologized for it. Her spunk, candidness, and love kept her families hearts full, and her cooking kept their bellies fuller. Her Italian Irish Brooklyn twang and everything she said was like no other. You knew you were going to laugh when you were with her. She was everything to us; An entity of love, laughter, and good food. Everything we are is because she existed, and we will continue to keep her light and memory alive, do her impersonations, and cook her recipes.
