When I turned 70 - the same number of years as the Queen was on the throne, I started to create some images of The Queen to commemorate her Platinum Jubilee. Before I knew it, I had enough illustrations for a book. This book celebrates the 70 year reign of Queen Elizabeth II and highlights many of the major events that took place during her long and magnificent reign. Each verso page shows the list of key events and the recto page shows an image of The Queen. Sadly the Queen passed away two months after publication date, which made it even more poignant. The use of a single image, with adaptations throughout the book demonstrates how Her Majesty remained a constant among change. I had every intention of sending a copy to Her Majesty but now it is only fitting for me to send it to King Charles III.
