    About the Book

    Edit

In the preface, Minick writes, "We humans know only our little niche, or version, of reality. The flux of time, perspective, place and narrative prevent a consensus as to which reality to believe, forcing us to cope the best we can. Fortunately, by some miraculous coalescing of energy and matter into sentient life, there seems to be just enough overlapping of realities to allow for a modicum of compatibility, and on occa- sion, understanding. While this is far from ideal, the alternative is nothingness, which is definitely singular. As a result, we are left with memories, consisting mostly of fleeting images, images which over a lifetime leave us haunted. The following paintings, completed during the latest Covid variant, are my effort to address this feeling, however lacking in overlap."
