Join me down memory lane as my life intersects with turbulent Berkeley in the 1960s, the Oakland A’s and Warriors of the 1970s, before enduring culture shock when I moved to small town Leggett in the 1970s during the demise of the logging industry and rise of the marijuana industry. High school saw love and loss, both in sports and life. On to college in the 1980s were I caught the cycling boom to compete in the 1984 Olympic Trials. Throughout the book, I try to weave my personal adventures into a wider historical context and narrative.
