Neste ano de 2021, cumprem-se trinta e três anos que a Tese de Fim de Curso, intitulada “Detecção de Falhas no Barrilete de uma Central Termoeléctrica”, foi apresentada e defendida pelos alunos Luís de Matos e Rui Martins, do 5º ano de Engenharia Electrotécnica e de Computadores, do Instituto Superior Técnico. A Tese abrangeu dois vectores indissociáveis, a modelação do sistema industrial de per se, e a algoritmia de detecção automática de falhas no sistema em análise.
