Encouraged by my spiritual director I began writing and posting my first attempts at the Japanese form of poetry called haiku in September of 2020. Spending more time in nature with my journal and camera plus writing more poetry is my new lifestyle at the present moment. In the following pages you will find my attempts at haiku and a few attempts at both tanka and poetry. I have enjoyed playing with them. Remember, this is a new experience for me. Please enjoy!
