About the Creator
Alexa O’Kane is a senior at Champlain College majoring in Professional Writing with a focus in Creative Writing. In the fall, she is excited to join The New School’s Creative Writing MFA program with dual concentrations in Poetry and Writing for Children & Young Adults. Poetry, music reviews, and transmedia projects are Alexa’s bread and butter, and she loves being able to tell complex stories in the spaces between words. She has previously been interviewed in For the Punks magazine and featured in MNSTRM Media’s March 2020 issue for her work in the music industry, and her poetry has appeared in Pinnacle Anthology in 2019 and will be published in Willard & Maple, Sage Soup, and the Bryant Literary Review later this year. Alexa is also excited to premiere her debut nonfiction poetry collection, Troubles, in Spring 2021.
