BORGES’ PAINTINGS: Paintings that tell stories

In this book, Borges’ Paintings, we take a fascinating journey through his poems and pictorial interpretation of myths, metaphors, and memories giving meaning to our history and culture.
Employing the language of art and poetry, in this series of paintings, Borges examines the mythology and allegories defining our identity, character, and experiences in life.

Various aspects of our existence dealing with morality, creativity, emotion, heroism, and tragedy are represented in these paintings of myths, landscapes, and still lifes, to convey the intended narrative from a region.

A must reading for art lovers and in particular for those seeking to understand or discover, that paintings also tells stories.
    These are our stories.

    Ramón Felipe Borges
    State College, PA, USA

Ramón Felipe Borges is an artist who explores art following his intuition, feelings, and experiences early in life. He learned to appreciate that creativity is as much about affect as it is about cognition. Though an artist by vocation, he became an engineer by profession. He obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico, a Master's Degree from Cornell University, and subsequently, a Ph.D. from Penn State University, where he taught engineering for two decades until retiring in 2005. However, he never lost perspective of his vocation for art and will to create. Employing the language of art and poetry in a series of paintings, Borges examines the mythology and allegories defining our identity, character, and experiences in life.  A very provocative oeuvre for art lovers and in particular for those seeking to understand or discover, that paintings also tell stories.
