    About the Book

    Edit

In 1988, the accomplished motoring historian Bill Boddy described the 1904 Napier L48 as “the recreation of the decade”. Using the original engine which set the world land speed record at Ormond Beach in Florida in 1905 and his extensive engineering resources, Bob Chamberlain built a faithful copy of the original car. Since then the Napier has won at Pebble Beach, raced in the United Kingdom and exhibited at two museums, creating its own history. This is a photographic study of the Napier L48.
