About the Book
I have always looked at a blank canvas as a rather difficult challenge. It was a lot more inspiring for me to start when there was already an image in front of me.
Some of my older paintings which I considered to be a finished work at the time of completion, became less interesting over time as I acquired new expertise, values and inspiration.
I would then overpaint it to bring the work up to my present values and to add the newly gained experience.
