    About the Book

    Edit

This glossy coffee table book is about a luxury sailing yacht that is based on Hamilton Island in the Whitsunday's, which is in the central section of the Great Barrier Reef. Its friendly owners, Lynne and John Boyce, share the secrets they have discovered over the last 30 years while exploring the worlds largest and most ecologically diverse marine sanctuary. In 2019, the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority conferred the title of Master Reef Guide on Lynne in recognition of her outstanding knowledge and experience. For more than three decades, our guests have been praising her ability to present mouthwatering meals which compliment the wonders of nature experienced on an expedition cruise. In this cookbook she shares the secrets of how to prepare and serve restaurant quality meals day after day, while still personally guiding guests on each morning and afternoons excursions. Each recipe is simple to follow, and if you choose to serve any for friends or family, you can expect to receive outstanding recognition for recently discovered talents. Not only are they easy to follow recipes, but also pages of spectacular images of corals, fish, humpback whales, mantas rays and the beauty and wonder of the Whitsunday Islands and the World Heritage listed Great Barrier Reef.

    Luxury Yachting
Hamilton Island, Whitsunday Islands, Great Barrier Reef, Queensland, Australia

My husband, John and I designed and coordinated construction of Sydney Sundancer to incorporate the luxury and comfort of a motor vessel combined with the grace and serenity of a sailing yacht. When we embarked on this project in 1983, we had two goals. Firstly, to offer live aboard expedition cruises in the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park visiting remote and remarkable locations during the dry season in tropical north Queensland. This coincides with the period that humpback whales have migrated from Antarctica to give birth to their young. Secondly, during the remainder of the year, to conduct cruises on Sydney Harbour for corporate entertaining, weddings, birthdays, marriage proposals and in fact any kind of celebration. In both locations, we take pleasure in offering our guests not only the ultimate in luxury, comfort and space, but as owner operators ensure great attention to warm and welcoming hospitality, mouth-watering meals and fine wines.
