About the Book
This book is a collection of artworks created by London - based graphic designer, Andreas Arany - Toth. The work was inspired by the haunting landscape of Walthamstow Marshes in East London, where fauna of the wetlands live in on co-existence with humans. Train tracks, disused filter beds, pylons, and modern high rises signal the traces of urbanisation and the intrusion of civilisation into nature.
Andreas uses acrylic paint, spray paint, and a variety of plants, branches, twigs and weeds collected from the native flora to create mixed media artworks which are then enhanced digitally, emphasizing textures, colours and shapes to deliver the artist’s visions about the current global environmental and health crisis.
